Instructions for use KINTSUGI Repair Kit
Lay out the work area with a surface (old newspaper). It is useful to have a damp cotton cloth to hand and some toothpicks for small corrections. Everything else is included in the NEW KINTSUGI set, such as adhesive varnish, quick-drying modeling clay to fill larger breakage holes, gold powder, wooden sticks for applying and mixing, a brush and gloves. It is important to clean the breakage points thoroughly and to have all the necessary utensils ready.
Squeeze an equal amount of glue (two-component glue) out of each tube. Add a little gold (or silver) powder. Mix it very well.
Apply a generous layer (of the mixed adhesive) to one side of the crack only.
Leave it on for one to two minutes and allow it to dry, then press both parts firmly together for a few minutes.
When the glue is almost dry but still sticky, apply a generous layer of gold (or silver powder) with the brush. Corrections can be made with a damp cloth or a toothpick. Then leave to dry for approx. 30 minutes before gluing on the next shard (if any).
Use the putty for missing parts. Cut off a piece in the required size. Knead well until the two components form a homogeneous mass/color.
Fill the gap (the chip) with the putty. The putty dries quickly. After modeling, color the area with a layer of adhesive, gold or silver-colored, as described above.
Leave to rest for two hours, then clean carefully with a soft sponge and a little washing-up liquid. Leave it to harden completely for another 48 hours. It's ready!
