Christopher Dresser (1834-1904) was a British designer and botanist. He is considered to be Britain's first professional independent industrial designer. In contrast to his contemporaries of the Arts & Crafts Movement, he unreservedly accepted all the difficulties of industrial production without, however, depriving his designs of their bold and visionary artisan character.

In 1991, ALESSI edited some of its most famous designs at OFFICINA ALESSI in silver and stainless steel. Then in 1993, as part of the "Family Follows Fiction" project, in very colorful and cheerful RESIN.
