Original condition, used, one owner since 1978, from the private household of a Cologne design gallery that opened in 1975. The owner was a personal friend of Mr. Sottsass and the bowl was a gift.
EAD as a company is a mystery to me, I can't find anything in the literature and have never seen a catalog. Agliana, Pistoia... POLTRONOVA used to be based in this town too. I would be very happy to receive further information.
The wood is untreated and the upper part, the shell, is made of unpainted sheet steel.
