The cob vase, or corn on the cob, is one of Hubert Griemert's best-known designs for KPM Berlin. The vase offered here is the original design from 1953, when it was still called Maiskolben.

all three vases are 1st choice, no chip, no crack, very good used condition, very early version of KPM, mark sceptre in underglaze blue. The small (1) and the large (3) additionally with a S under the sceptre, marked Production in the outsourcing factory Selb (until 1954).
